• Kalash Sthapana and Maa Kaali invocation.
• Sankalp (personal intention taken on your behalf).
• Chanting of Shri Kaali Chalisa (as per number chosen).
• Recitation of Kaali Beej Mantra.
• Offering flowers, dhoop, deep, naivedyam (prasad).
• Aarti and mantra pushpanjali.
• Charity and dakshina to Brahmins.
• Prasad blessing and distribution.

Kaali Beej Mantra

“ॐ क्रीं कालिकायै नमः”
Om Kreeng Kalikaye Namah

Mantra Meaning:

“I bow to the Divine Mother Kaali, the powerful form of Shakti who destroys all evil, grants liberation, and blesses with fearlessness.”

• Panchmeva (dry fruits)
• Red hibiscus flowers (very dear to Maa Kaali)
• Dhoop, Deep, Camphor
• Black sesame seeds
• Rice, supari, coconut
• Charnamrit
• Panchamrit
• Ghee diya
• Roli, Sindoor, Haldi
• Fruits and sweets
• Incense sticks

Special Ingredients Used in Maa Kaali Puja

These are not just general items but specifically dear to Maa Kaali and used during Chalisa Paath:

• Red Hibiscus Flowers (her most beloved offering)
• Black Sesame Seeds (Til) – for absorbing negativity
• Black cloth or red cloth – symbolic of her fierce form
• Kapur (Camphor) – used during aarti for cleansing energy
• Kale urad dal – offered for protection and removal of bad karma
• Imarti or jaggery sweets – part of bhog
• Alcohol (if tantric vidhi is requested) – optional, only in rare advanced rituals
• Nimbu-Mirchi (lemon-chilli) – for evil eye protection
• Clove, Mustard oil diya, and black thread for raksha
• Black wool or ash (Bhasma) from Havan – applied as protection
